1,040 Royalty-Free Audio Tracks for "Room Recording"

I recorded myself winding up an old wall-clock in my living room to use in a song. I used the built-in microphone in an ipad, re-recorded to cubase, added a bit of compression, a gate, and a limiter. It's a stereo file, but the sound is mono.

C major scale played on a martin sigma 6 string acoustic guitar with old steel strings using a seymour duncan soundhole pickup into a presonus audio box interface. Recorded at 120bpm in living room.

This recording is inspired by alienxxx http://freesound. Org/people/alienxxx/sounds/345510/made a little patch on my modular, still missing its (main) oscillators. I let the patch sound thru a pair of cheap computer speakers that i use as monitors. In an adjacent room, close to an open window, i put my phone and record. This is the unedited outcome. The recording was made 09:00 (16-05-11). Unfortunately nothing happened outside the window. Even the birds was quiet. I think there is a hint of feedback in the sound? first i planned to record with an old tape recorder, but i couldn’t find it. . . I think this recording should be listened to with low volume. May by it was a mistake to amplify the sound in audacity? but i think there is a nice room ambiance to the recording. Ideas for next time. Use guitar amp. Find old tape recorder. Don’t put recording device to close to window.

Ambience from an extremely reverberant space inside a college. Some students can be heard chattering in the distance, thankfully with not enough clarity to be recognizable. This recording was made in italy in the province of rieti, inside the room of my apartment, where i am testing a twister ninja 250 mini single-rotor helicopter, where during the recording a small accident is also heard. Recorded with the shure mv88 plus digital stereo microphone connected to my iphone 12 pro.

In this series of recordings i strike many cook's safety matches, in a small plaster-boarded room. Recording of a door being opened and closed, and then opened and closed again. Very slight footsteps (on carpet) can be heard. The microphone (sennheiser mkh-50) was intentionally placed about 5 feet away from the door so as to capture some of the natural room sound/reverb (which is very subtle). I have another recording available of the exact same door and mic setup, but aimed slightly off-axis to capture just a bit more room sound. My upstairs neighbor sometimes likes to rhythmically stomp on their floor. I recorded their stomping with low gain and then with high gain, from the living room of my apartment. You'll likely need to perform some noise reduction, especially on the high gain stomps. This was recorded with a blue yeti mic.

The sounds of a plastic bird toy, that you fill with water and then blow into to give the sound of a bird singing. Sounds surpisingly realistic considering it's just a plastic toy. Recorded in a small room in the tower of a castle. Sample also has a pretty heavy reverb added to it.

A 3-inch folding pocket-knife opening and closing. Recorded very close to the microphone. Makes a snick/click sound. The sharp blade folds into a steel housing so the sound is metal on metal. Recorded: august 2014, with android voice recorder (mono), inside/evening in very quiet room. Noise reduction with audacity.

A modest sized crowd of people in a fairly good mood speaking in american english in a an old building. The room is chamberous enough to create some short reverb, although the walls and floors are wood and there is some carpeting to reduce the effect.
